An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our 0-19 team in Cumberland in the role of Specialist Nurse Infant Feeding/Healthy Weight. This interim role will support across Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness.We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Nurse to work within the 0-19 team to provide a enhanced service and direction.

The post holder, in line with public health improvement objectives and specification requirements, will have a lead role for infant feeding and healthy weight, reducing the high levels of childhood obesity in Cumberland. The post holder will support the increase in the number of mothers initiating breastfeeding at birth, increasing the numbers of mothers sustaining breastfeeding and the maintenance of UNICEF accreditation across Cumberland. This will include the formulation and implementation of breastfeeding policies and programmes of care.
