Overview

We are seeking a practical and responsible Sous Chef / Kitchen Shift Supervisor to support our head chef at Northern Lights Village Saariselkä. The role involves assisting in daily kitchen operations, guiding staff, maintaining hygiene, managing inventory, and participating in menu development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily kitchen operations
• Guide and manage kitchen staff
• Maintain hygiene standards
• Manage inventory
• Participate in menu development

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience
• Relevant qualification or equivalent (e.g., Restaurant industry qualification)
• Hygiene passport or willingness to obtain one
• Good cooking techniques and recipe knowledge
• Understanding of health and safety regulations
• Fluent English
• Additional skills in Nordic cuisine and allergen knowledge considered an advantage
