**Your role and responsibilities**
Software Technical Accounting Lead Accountant, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

* Provide technical accounting guidance on software revenue recognition for complex transactions, acquisitions, offerings, and non-standard contract terms in collaboration with finance, pricing, and deal teams.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on software revenue recognition policies for accounting team members and audit focal with external auditors.
* Manage and support accounting teams in the U.S. and Argentina (who provide coverage for Canada and Latin America).
* Act as a focal point for global consistency discussions related to complex software revenue transactions with the global team in NY.
* Support deal teams during contract negotiations and advise accounting team members during contract reviews and with audit requests.
