Social Service Assistant (Children's Home)

The Social Service Assistant supports the provision of quality residential care for children and youths at Ahuva Good Shepherd. The incumbent works closely with the Residential Manager, Social Workers, and other care staff to provide a safe, nurturing, trauma-informed, and child-centered environment where residents can experience stability, develop life skills, build positive relationships, and achieve their developmental potential.

The Social Service Assistant plays a key role in supporting residents' daily living needs, emotional well-being, behavioural development, and participation in educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities. Through consistent care, supervision, and positive role-modeling, the incumbent helps create a structured, homely therapeutic community that promotes healing, resilience, and personal growth.
