Shift Supervisor, Atikokan Sawmill

Shift Supervisor – Atikokan Sawmill (full‑time permanent) located in Atikokan, Ontario, Canada. The position reports directly to the Sawmill / Planer Superintendent and is responsible for shift supervision, coordination of maintenance activities, and ensuring safe, efficient lumber finishing production.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure application of highest safety standards for sawmill and yard operations.
• Oversee the production sector by maximizing use of materials, personnel and equipment to meet or exceed production goals, quality and financial performance (monitoring and cost reduction).
• Supervise, direct and guide employees to help them achieve maximum effectiveness; identify and meet their training needs in job, health and safety, and environmental areas.
• Work with maintenance supervisors (mechanical and electrical) to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of maintenance activities.
