- Minimum 5 years' Health, Safety and Environmental experience within the mining equipment fabrication industry
- Ensuring that the organization is compliant with SAMTRAC guidelines and relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Responsible for identifying safety hazards related to fabrication, such as welding, cutting, heavy lifting, and equipment use.
- Developing and maintaining safe work procedures for fabrication tasks.
- Ensure that proper PPE (personal protective equipment) is worn, and safety systems like ventilation and fire extinguishing methods are in place.
- For each fabrication or construction project, the SHE Coordinator ensures that a dedicated safety file is maintained including project-specific risk assessments, method statements, safety procedures, emergency plans, and training records for personnel involved.
