Job Title: Sensor Specialist (Aquatic Sensor Tender)

The appointee will support the Supply and Maintenance of Marine and Freshwater Nutrient Monitoring Sensors project to build and deploy low-cost sensors for Carmarthenshire County Council. They will also support the production of significant publications and presentations on a rapid scale. Additionally, they will support the Project Lead by providing inputs to meetings and preparing a proposal to extend the current support.

What you'll do

• Develop and create environmental sensors that incorporate multiple sensing elements for measuring key water quality parameters.
• Calibrate and maintain developed and deployed sensors.
• Perform comparative studies to evaluate sensor performance against existing off-the-shelf sensors, benchmarking accuracy, response time, and durability.
• Support deployment of sensors in rivers to test reliability and accuracy against conventional sensors.
