Senior Utility Design Specialist

**Description**

Lead quality and technical excellence for electric distribution design projects supporting wildfire mitigation, grid resiliency, and major capital programs. Provide design expertise, mentorship, and QA/QC oversight while helping teams solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-quality utility designs. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule with 1–2 days in the office and occasional field visits.

**What You'll Do:**

+ **Technical QA/QC Leadership:** Perform detailed technical reviews of overhead and underground electric distribution designs, ensuring compliance with Xcel Energy construction standards, NESC codes, fire mitigation requirements, and joint-use specifications.
