Senior Underwriter I, Property (Toronto)

Overview

Senior Underwriter I, Property – Everest Insurance Company Of Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring work out of the Toronto office. Everest Canada is building a dynamic Commercial Property team, and you will work with the national underwriting team and review accounts from across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Marketing to producers to secure new and renewal business.
• Reviewing submissions, terms and conditions, statements of values, loss history, and catastrophe modeling; conduct research to determine risk level based on company guidelines and underwriting authority.
• Coordinate with business divisions (Engineering, Actuarial, Claims, Reinsurance, Accounting, Marketing, Regulatory, and others) that support the business.
• Determine whether to quote or decline risks.
• Pricing risks.
