**This Opportunity**
WSP is seeking a **Senior Tunneling Design Unit Engineer** to join our dynamic Transportation team in California.
This role will be based in a client office in **San Jose** .
**Your Impact**
+ Will be Program management staff embedded within the contractor’s design-build team to act as a liaison for a given design unit (DU).
+ Oversee the development of the tunnel lining, precast concrete manufacturing, TBM laydown, muck disposal, and tunneling work plans.
+ Oversees coordination with Contractor’s teams and external parties, such as BART, Caltrans, Caltrain, UPRR, and City of Santa Clara, etc.
+ Integrate into Contractor’s Design Unit teams. Coordinate directly with Contractor’s DU Managers.
+ Be fully aware of all design development progress. Focus on meeting requirements, interface issues, external affairs, right-of-way implications, environmental considerations, etc.
