Senior Technologist (MRI), Imaging Service Team, Medical Engineering (Toronto)

Position Summary

The technicians within the Imaging Service team are responsible for the safe repair, performance assurance, preventive maintenance, and incoming inspection of imaging systems. The team currently supports Molecular Imaging, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Computed Tomography, Fluoroscopy, and Angiography systems. This position expands the team’s capability into Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), establishing an in‑house, frontline technical response for MRI systems. The successful candidate will serve as the primary in‑office resource for the operational and infrastructure aspects of MRI support, including power quality, continuity, UPS and emergency power readiness. The role acts as the technical liaison between clinical MR teams, vendors, and the in‑house facilities team and will play a key role in shaping the MRI support model.
