About the Role D-Wave is seeking a Superconducting Integrated Circuit (IC) Designer to join our IC Design team, building chips at the heart of our quantum computers.
Responsibilities
Model, design, and improve performance of devices on a superconducting quantum processor, including Josephson junctions, SQUIDs, SFQ gates, QFPs, resonators, and qubits.
Use the EDA toolchain to identify shortcomings, conceptualize improvements, and develop solutions.
Design novel devices or enhance existing ones to improve processor performance or enable new capabilities.
Analyze the impact of the processor’s environment—packaging, IO, electronics, and cryogenic elements—and develop approaches to mitigate it.
Create superconducting integrated circuit layouts.
Predict, simulate, and verify device behavior for manufacturability and correctness.
Document designs and communicate with colleagues.
