Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist / Associate Director, Drug Discovery (Early-Stage Therapeutics)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead scientific strategy for early-stage drug discovery programs from target identification through preclinical development.
• Evaluate and prioritize novel therapeutic targets based on scientific evidence and unmet medical needs.
• Design and oversee target validation studies using both in vitro and in vivo disease models.
• Drive lead identification, candidate selection and optimization strategies.
• Develop preclinical development plans, including pharmacology, toxicology and IND-enabling studies.
• Collaborate with chemistry, biology, pharmacology and translational research teams to advance drug discovery programs.
• Manage and coordinate external CROs, academic collaborators and strategic research partners.
• Review scientific data, identify development risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
