Senior Research Fellow (Biomaterials)

The TMIG group under School of Materials Science & Engineering is looking to recruit a senior research fellow, who will be a part of an international team addressing a major concern of antibiotics usage in cellular agriculture research and development stages in the industry. The purpose of the project is the development of non‑antibiotic mitigants that will be safe to use and approved by regulators.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and characterization of broad‑spectrum lipid, peptide, and glycan‑based mitigants
• 3-D scaffold fabrication using new bio‑materials and characterization of the same
• Design, post-processing, and biomimetic cell culture environments for 3D scaffolds
• Scalability and reproducibility of bioactive 3D scaffolds for large‑scale manufacturing
• Critical interpretation and application of experimental results
• Collect and prepare data/information/proposal required for research‑related grant call process
