Senior Reinsurance Claims Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide expert oversight and direction on complex casualty and specialty reinsurance claims, including long‑tail, high‑severity and coverage‑sensitive matters.
• Lead coverage interpretation and liability analysis under excess of loss, proportional and facultative reinsurance contracts.
• Act as escalation point for aggregation, exhaustion, attachment disputes, commutation strategy, and complex casualty settlement structures review and execution.
• Maintain oversight of large loss notifications and casualty loss developments, ensuring timely reporting and issue escalation.
• Ensure appropriate establishment, monitoring and governance of case reserves and IBNR for assigned casualty and specialty portfolios.
• Work closely with actuarial and finance teams on loss development, emerging trends, and reserve adequacy.
