Senior Policy Advisor

Overview

Auckland Council’s Policy Department is looking for a Senior Policy Advisor for the Community Investment team to provide high‑quality policy advice that ensures Aucklanders have equitable access to open space.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate long‑term planning for open space provision with various departments.
• Provide expert input into proposed plan changes, structure plans and other long‑term planning processes.
• Contribute to policy and strategy development, monitoring and evaluation.

Qualifications

With a tertiary qualification in landscape design, planning, social sciences, recreation, public policy or a related field and significant experience providing strategic advice in open space policy and planning.
