Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (Senior Phase): Isi Xhosa Language Education and Literacy

Responsibilities Supervise preservice teachers in the Senior Phase, from the first year to the sixth year in the teaching degree and the PGCE. Teach and learn isi Xhosa to preservice teachers in the Senior Phase level, isi Xhosa as a mother tongue and as an additional first language. Design, review or analyze curriculum or module guidelines for teacher training in isi Xhosa, including isi Xhosa for communicative purposes in preparation for service in South African schools and beyond where possible. Mentor students at Grade S and PGCE level focusing on language education, at Senior Phase and PGCE levels, assisting them in their educational research projects.
