Job Description:
The Histotechnician V will perform routine and special paraffin histotechnology duties in a state-of-the-art, CAP-certified pathology laboratory. Under the guidance of a Senior or Lead Histotechnologist, the role is responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic materials within established turnaround times. Responsibilities: Embed, cut, stain, and perform tasks required to process tissue in the Immunohistochemistry laboratory. Perform accurate gross descriptions on tissue samples. Perform quality control procedures for each method and maintain accurate records. Operate laboratory instruments and equipment according to written procedures and identify equipment issues.
