Senior Engineering Manager - Business Banking

The Senior Engineering Manager will build and scale a manager‐of‐managers layer and a reusable engineering platform across five teams in Valencia and Berlin, enabling rapid, secure, and maintainable delivery of a new business banking product. The role combines people leadership – hiring, coaching, performance calibration – with hands‐on ownership of engineering standards, platform architecture, and delivery practices in a regulated banking context.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a manager‐of‐managers layer: hire, coach, and develop founding Engineering Managers and create clear career pathways across the Valencia site.

Own the engineering operating system: establish and enforce standards for code review, testing, CI/CD, architecture review, observability, and incident handling.
