Senior DevOps Engineer

Optus Critical Network Services (CNS) keeps the backbone of Australia's network running. We manage critical infrastructure that serves millions of consumers and enterprise customers — spanning DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, ACS, and a 40+ application estate hosted across a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong telco pedigree to join our team. This is not a cloud-only role. You will work across bare-metal servers, virtualised environments (Proxmox/KVM, VMware), containerised platforms, and cloud environments — driving the modernisation of legacy ISP infrastructure into highly available, automated, and observable platforms.

This role suits someone who can operate at the intersection of platform architecture and hands-on engineering — equally comfortable presenting a solution design to an Architecture Review Board and standing up a Kubernetes cluster from scratch.
