Senior Business Analyst – International Visitor Access Charging Programme
Help shape the future of New Zealand’s visitor and conservation systems. Two‑year, fixed‑term secondment opportunity with a salary of $93,656–$126,500.
Overview
The International Visitor Access Charging programme is investigating the design and optimisation of a system to charge international visitors at four iconic high‑use destinations (Piopiotahi/Milford Sound, Aoraki/Mt Cook, Tongariro Alpine Crossing and Mautohe/Cathedral Cove). Revenue captured will be used for projects that support sustainable tourism while protecting and enhancing New Zealand’s natural environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end design of a modern, data‑driven international visitor system.
- Translate business needs into system and architecture design.
- Design and optimise compliance systems using data from multiple sources (camera systems, surveys, operational data).
