Senior Building Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced BuildingMechanical Engineer to join our GLAE team who is willing to learn and grow in a quickly expanding company. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the mechanical design of mid- and high-rise residential buildings, as well as a thorough knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, relevant codes, standards, and guidelines.

• Mid- and High-rise Residential Building Mechanical Systems Design, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and sprinkler systems.
• Create concepts and develop detailed designs, tender packages, and construction documents.
• Perform calculations and prepare drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Conduct field visits.
• Assist in equipment sizing and selection.
• Read, understand, and apply Ontario building codes and CSA, ASHRAE, and NFPA standards.
