Senior Audit Specialist for Local Government

Shape financial transparency as a Senior Audit Specialist in Minnesota's Office of the State Auditor. This role focuses on leading audits and ensuring compliance with professional standards.
As a part of the Audit Practice Division, you'll conduct technical reviews, provide guidance, and enforce quality protocols. This position requires a strong background in auditing and accounting, especially two years of leading audits for local governments. You will report at least weekly to one of several regional offices, contributing to transparency and accountability in public service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform technical reviews of audit reports for completeness
• Provide technical guidance on auditing standards for compliance
• Enforce quality control policies and procedures in audits
• Offer feedback and recommendations to OSA staff
• Support the goals and priorities of the Office of the State Auditor
