Senior Associate, Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• You’ll be a key engineer on our Self Service team, building the digital products that millions of Astro subscribers use to manage their accounts. The apps we build include the My Astro app, astro.com.my, My NJOI app, and internal apps for employees and dealers.
• Own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing features across our web and mobile apps, from system design through to production monitoring.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Node.js/TypeScript that power self‑service journeys (subscriptions, billing, entitlements, and account management).
• Develop responsive, performant frontends using React and Next.js, with strong attention to UX across device types.
• Design and ship AI‑assisted features, including conversational interfaces, intelligent search, and LLM‑powered tooling leveraging cloud AI services such as AWS Bedrock or equivalent.
