SEND Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Clacton, Essex, who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a mainstream secondary setting, supporting students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs and helping them access the curriculum confidently and successfully.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant in a secondary setting, your role will include:

• Providing 1:1 support for students with EHCPs
• Supporting small group interventions in literacy, numeracy or social skills
• Assisting students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, and moderate learning difficulties
• Helping students remain engaged and focused during lessons
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
