The Security Officer - Complex provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, and volunteers. This position is typically located at acute care sites in metropolitan areas, which see a high volume of emergency department patients, typically with behavioral health units where the complexity of duties and scope of responsibilities and / or the likelihood of de-escalation are inherent. This role demands a high skill set in safety and security, with in-depth knowledge of de-escalation techniques, incident reporting, and investigation. The ability to work independently, anticipate interventions, and master de-escalation tactics is crucial for this role.
