The Scrum Master (SM) is responsible to oversee the scrum and development team. The SM is knowledgeable in Agile methodology and scrum and able to educate others. He/She also acts as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution.

Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating scrum practices in the planning and execution of projects for the team.

The Scrum Master is expected to be a coach and facilitator for IT teams. The work includes coaching team members, proactively eliminating barriers, and facilitating team delivery on sprint goals. This position works closely with product management, the development team, the CIO, Software Delivery Manager, and Quality Assurance Manager.
