School Psychologist

Overview

Qualicum School District — Teaching Position: Assignment: School Psychologist; 1.00 FTE Continuing; Commencing January 1, 2027 or possibly sooner. The assignment may change due to the itinerant nature of the position, or to meet the needs of the school's educational program, grade organization, and/or enrolment.

Responsibilities

• Use valid psycho-educational, formal and informal assessment methods for assessing referred students
• Demonstrate knowledge of current, effective assessment measures
• Facilitate the use of a variety of assessment data for student program planning
• Collaborate with school staff regarding developmentally appropriate strategies, assessments, and interventions for students
• Interpret data for the appropriate identification, placement, or referral for medical professional assessment/interventions
