Job Description

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care, Department of Pediatrics at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Pediatric Intensivist to provide care at Childrens of Alabama. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a track record of excellence in clinical care, and graduate medical education or research and possess outstanding leadership skills. Demonstrated accomplishment in the field of PICU leadership and/or research is highly desirable.The Critical Care Division is currently comprised of seventeen faculty members who staff a 24 bed Medical/Surgical ICU, Critical Care Transport Team, Rapid Response Team, Pediatric Deep Sedation Service, the Pediatric Simulation Center at Childrens of Alabama, and support an ACGME-approved fellowship-training program.Childrens of Alabama (COA) serves as Alabamas only quaternary care center for children.
