POSITION: School Counselor (FT/PT, 10-month, FTE Based on Enrollment)



ASSIGNMENT: Incarcerated Education/Alternate High School Program (School Counselor position is an itinerant, can be reassigned in the department)



SITE/BUILDING: Various locations in Suffolk County, NY



RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Review student records and progress
+ Develop students’ schedules, assign courses, and schedule students for state examinations
+ Maintain contact with students, parent, teacher, and district staff
+ Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
+ Collaborate with colleagues and program partners to support transition and post-program planning



START DATE: September 2, 2026



MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $69,427.00* (MA, FT) (MA, *PT prorated)
