Safety Analyst (Ottawa)

Responsibilities

• Preparing high quality technical documents which receive a high level of scrutiny.
• Acting as a technical reviewer for safety analysis documents.
• Following the program and associated CNSC regulations in preparing the documentation.
• Providing guidance to Facility Authority/Projects with regards to safety and licensing requirements.
• Reviewing technical drawings/documents with a focus on impact to safety.
• Preparing documentation to support projects/changes including planning, safety analysis and guidance.
• Ensuring documents prepared are in compliance with the program.
• Supporting developing program documentation through document preparation, self‑assessments, etc.
• Being involved with REGDOC, CSA, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), ICRP and other agency updates that involve safety analysis.
• Engaging with projects/facilities to identify hazards.
