Ruby Backend Engineer - AI Observability & APIs

GitLab is seeking a Backend Engineer for the Agent Observability team. You’ll help design and build features that let AI agents interact with the full software delivery lifecycle, beyond code creation, contributing to the architecture and APIs across GitLab.

You’ll collaborate with product, UX, frontend and AI specialists to deliver reliable, scalable REST and GraphQL services, write tests with RSpec, participate in on‑call rotations, and raise the bar for responsible AI integration.
