Mission

Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness (DHW) / Director of Care (DOC), the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct resident care, medication administration, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and Extendicare Resident Health and Wellness standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and ensure residents’ care assessments, service plans, and documentation are up to date and changes are communicated to DHW/DOC for billings.
• Assist with scheduling of residents’ care conferences and participate in conferences.
• Work closely with DHW/DOC to facilitate residents’ move‑in and transfers.
• Order, safely keep, and administer drugs and narcotics in compliance with all regulatory requirements and Extendicare policies and procedures.
