**Registered Nurse – Transitional Care Unit**
**A Med-Surg Role With Variety, Teamwork, and a 5:1 Ratio**
Join our Transitional Care Unit, where nurses care for admitted medical-surgical patients who are awaiting placement in an inpatient bed. This unit offers the variety of the hospital setting with a defined scope of care and a manageable **5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio** .
This is a great opportunity for nurses who enjoy medical-surgical nursing, patient education, care coordination, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
**What You Can Expect**
**5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio**
Medical-surgical level patients
Admitted patients who have already completed their initial emergency evaluation
Collaboration with hospitalists, physicians, case management, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and other support departments
Opportunities to strengthen assessment, time-management, and care-coordination skills
