Position: Resident Engineer

Division: Construction and Pavements

Reports To: Section Manager and Contract Engineer Primary Position Purpose

To provide elements of the construction works

Key Responsibilities Contract Administration acting as Resident Engineer for this project Reviewing the construction drawings and managing the processes of dealing with Contractor queries by liaising with the designers through the required communication lines Inspection of the works and test results for quality control Preparing and updating estimates to completion Maintaining records of site administration and communication in terms of SMEC’s quality management system and Construction Manual Attending and contributing to taking minutes at technical and site meetings Maintaining monthly progress reports Liaison with clients and contractors Managing resources for site supervision Monitoring of quality of works Monitoring of programme and contract bud...
