The postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Hasan Lab at Mercer University will serve as a senior-level investigator leading independent and collaborative research projects in cardiovascular drug discovery. Projects in the lab are focused on understanding and targeting ion channels and G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) to identify novel therapeutic targets, and develop new drug candidates for hypertension, stroke and cardiometabolic diseases.

The incumbent will design and execute studies using a comprehensive and integrative experimental approach that includes pressure myography, Ca2+ imaging, advanced microscopy, flow cytometry, genetic approaches, cell culture, molecular biology, luminescence-based assays, ELISA, Western blotting, enzyme activity assays, immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry, bioph...
