Research Fellow (In Vivo Neural Tissue Engineering)

We invite applications for a Research Fellow to join an interdisciplinary research team led by Dr. Sing Yian Chew (NTU) . The successful candidate will contribute to an ongoing research program focused on neural tissue engineering , spinal cord injury (SCI) models , and regenerative biomaterials .

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct experiments using rat SCI models

• Conduct microsurgical procedures, cell/scaffold implantation, and animal behavioral / functional evaluations

• Carry out analyses to understand mechanisms of action: e.g. tract tracing, immunofluorescent and histochemical staining and confocal imaging, RNA-seq.

• Data analysis, interpretation of experimental outcomes, and preparation of manuscripts for publication

• Supervise and train junior researchers and contribute to laboratory management
