Research Engineer – geolocalized data analyst (RE2) – AI Factory
Overview
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center’s Data Analytics and Visualization Group seeks a research engineer or postdoctoral researcher with expertise in spatial data analysis and AI models. The role supports the AI Factories project, developing AI models to analyse and visualise geo‑located data to aid decision‑making in climate resilience, mobility, urban interventions, and more.
Key Duties
- Training and fine‑tuning AI models (LLMs, image and code generation)
- Conducting spatial data analysis and preparing heterogeneous data sets for model training
- Assisting in data preparation and model training workflows
- Collaborating with internal and external researchers and stakeholders
