Prospeo is seeking a Senior Privacy & Commercial Counsel to lead privacy operations and negotiate contracts in a fully remote role based in Canada. Become an integral part of a fast-growing B2B SaaS team, guiding legal matters and compliance.
In this position, you will be the first dedicated legal hire, reporting directly to our co-founders, and acquiring full autonomy over the legal function. Your expertise in data privacy will be crucial as you manage compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. Collaborating closely with various departments, you'll also oversee vendor due diligence and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: • Run day‑to‑day privacy program across multiple jurisdictions • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including NDAs and DPAs • Coordinate litigation and regulatory correspondence • Own privacy compliance initiatives and training • Advise on legal risks affecting product and marketing decisions
