Registered Paediatric Nurse (Heavitree Day Case Unit)

Job summary
Our Team in Heavitree Day Surgery Ward works closely with Theatres and Recovery as part of the same unit caring for both adults and Paediatric elective surgical patients. We are a Nurse-led ward which care for patients coming in for procedures which are simple to complex and are discharged home the same day. We nurse a wide range of specialties ensuring each patient has a pleasant patient experience on what could be a challenging time in their lives.

You must be prepared to manage your workload in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask effectively. You should be a forward thinker and able to meet the needs of your patients whilst staying calm and producing high quality work.

Communication is key for all aspects of the job whether you are obtaining information from a patient whilst carrying out an assessment or informing external agencies who may need to be involved in the care upon discharge and do so discreetly especially when dealin...
