Job Summary

This inpatient unit is one of the largest head and neck & plastics programs in the country. As part of the surgical oncology program, we also care for patients having gynecology, oncology and urology surgery. We have 4 step‑down beds on the unit for closer observation and monitoring.

Our strong inter‑professional team cares for patients recovering from major and minor head and neck and plastic resections / reconstructions. Nurses on this unit are experts in airway management, flap monitoring, leech therapy and psychosocial assessments and support.

• Oral Cavity (Lip and mouth)
• Larynx
• Pharynx (nasopharynx, oropharynx, hypopharynx)
• Salivary glands
• Nasal Cavities and sinuses
• Thyroid & upper trachea
• Breast requiring reconstruction
• Skin (melanoma/basal cell)
• Other Head and Neck Malignancies
