Registered Nurse - Maternal Newborn

• Shift Schedule (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs): Day/Night - 12 hour shifts
• Employment Status: Permanent Full-time
• Department: OT Ante/Postpartum

Job Description

Provide quality patient care to antepartum and postpartum women, newborns, and their families.

Support breastfeeding women and work with families to ensure optimal outcomes.

Perform venipuncture and IV therapy as required.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Breastfeeding certificate required.
• Perinatal Nursing Certificate preferred.
• Venipuncture and IV therapy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with families.
• Demonstrated ability to support the breastfeeding woman.
