Registered Nurse - Implant Coordinator

Summary The Registered Nurse - Implant Coordinator is located at the Sterile Processing Service, John Cochran Building, of the VA St. Louis Health Care System. The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or directing supervising direct patient care. Responsibilities The Implant Coordinator RN demonstrates clinical competence by appropriately evaluating the different types of implants used throughout the medical center to determine the appropriate use, storage, and management of implants. The incumbent applies the application of knowledge/skills in caring for patients. The incumbent will primarily be assigned to planning, administering, and directing nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with advanced medical/surgical needs.
