Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the CVPICU, including critically ill neonates, infants, and children with cardiac conditions. Supports a fast-paced environment requiring advanced clinical skills and adaptability.
Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor cardiac medications, including inotropes and vasoactive agents.
• Assess, prioritize, and respond to complex patient needs, including ventilated and intubated patients.
• Maintain and manage central lines, arterial lines, and PIVs, focusing on infection control and reduction of CLABSI.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to transfer, admit, and discharge patients within the same shift.
• Document patient data accurately using Epic electronic health records.
• Float to other units as needed, maintaining high standards of patient care.
