Registered Guidance Counselor

Job Description

The Guidance Counselor (GC) ensures that the students, throughout the school year, will receive the support they need in the areas of social, emotional, academic and career development. The GC, in addition to counseling, plans and implements activities that will help develop student self-awareness and establish meaningful relationships, encourage wholistic growth and clear career goals in collaboration with teachers, parents and/or other professional, whenever needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC).
• At least five (5) years of experience in both whole school and student support services.
• Excelent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Provides counseling support for students with emotional, social, and behavioral concerns, including appropriate referrals when necessary.
• Familiar with Montessori philosophy and student-centered approaches. ...
