<p><b>Duties:</b></p> <ul> <li>Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions. </li> <li>Records food and drug interactions in the education section. </li> <li>Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modification. </li> <li>Screens and assesses patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care. </li> <li>Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain history of food habits and preferences. </li> <li>Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical and social data in the medical record, as it applies to nutrition care. </li> <li>Provides nutrition education and records patient's diet and diet instructions and the patient's understanding of the diet in the education section.</li> <li>Modifies patient menus as needed.</li> ...
