<p><strong>Details of Service</strong></p> <p>Bantry General Hospital (BGH) is a 90 bed rural and remote model 2R Acute General Hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and day patient services. It provides undifferentiated medical care and day case surgical activity for the people of West Cork and South Kerry.</p> <p>BGH operates on a 24 hour open access basis for undifferentiated medical intake. The hospital caters for all acute medical emergencies and has a Medical Assessment Unit and a High Dependency Unit. It also has a Rehabilitation and Acute Stroke Unit and a Care of the Elderly Ward. Bantry General Hospital provides elective Day Case Surgery, Minor Procedures and Endoscopy Day Cases.
