Recycling Technician

Position Summary

The Recycling Technician position reports directly to the Grounds Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include waste (e.g. trash, solid waste, compost, etc.) recycling and removal. The Recycling Technician will also be responsible for the tasks described in detail below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide support in the existing program for recycling of solid waste campus wide to reduce the college’s carbon footprint.

Maintain both interior and exterior recycling stations in a clean and presentable fashion at all times through routine/scheduled service.

Pick up and disposal of cardboard from trash holding areas throughout campus.

Coordinate with event set-up team and event coordinators to ensure recycling receptacles are at all campus events with the goal of “zero waste”.
