Job Description

Assists in providing planned activities and interventions for the development, maintenance, and expression of appropriate social and leisure lifestyles of patients admitted to the Unit.

Job Responsibility

+ Performs initial assessments and leisure history interviews of patients admitted to the Unit; assesses patients leisure, social and recreational abilities, deficiencies, interests, barriers, life experiences, needs, and potential.
+ Assists in the implementation and coordination of individualized/group recreation therapy programs.
+ Participates in the planning and provision of individual/group treatment services to improve social, emotional, cognitive and physical functional behaviors.
+ Assists in the provision of leisure educational activities.
