Recreation Programmer

Overview

This position works in the ECC Aquatic Services organizational unit. This is recreational programming work assisting a supervisor in planning, developing, scheduling, coordinating and implementing a variety of specified recreational, social and cultural programs. The work involves supervising program staff; establishing and maintaining liaison with a variety of internal and external contacts, promoting and publicizing interest and participation in program activities, and assisting in the preparation and monitoring of program budgets. A Recreation Programmer exercises considerable independence of judgement and action within the limits of established policies, procedures and guidelines. Unusual problems and policy matters are referred to a supervisor who reviews work performance in terms of effectiveness and quality of programs provided. Performs related work as required.
